This course will serve as an introduction to issues dealing with water damage claims. The support material includes information on proper handling of drying as it relates to insurance losses. The key to this topic is the urgency in which it is addressed, the financial implications, and the health and safety issues discussion. Typically, insurers are among the first contacts with the property owners when these losses happen. They have the ability to help minimize the impact on the property owner.

Conversely, should the insurers not be aware of the issues and remedies associated with these issues, the property owners might suffer unnecessarily. Their response can help determine the level of hardship to which the property owner will be subject.
